 Jeanne M. Ward, Au.D Doctor of Audiology
Jeanne M. Ward, Au.D, is founder and president of Premium Hearing Solutions. She is one of the 1st Clinical Doctors of Audiology (Au.D.) in the United States. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees were completed at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Dr. Ward completed her residency at a private Audiology office outside Boston, Massachusetts in 1998. After completing her residency, she decided to move back to her home state of Michigan to be closer to her family.
Dr. Ward has experience in various settings, from hospitals, private practice, and Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) offices. She also served as Director of Audiology Services at POH Medical Center from 1999-2002. She is an member of the Michigan Academy of Audiology, Academy of Dispensing Audiolgists (ADA), and American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and is a licensed hearing aid dispenser. Through these varied experiences, Dr. Ward has found working with hearing aid patients the most rewarding. "At Premium Hearing Solutions, we are committed to professionalism and patient education. On a personal note, Dr. Ward is married to Matthew Ward and their daughter, Alison, was born on July 24, 2003. She enjoys reading all types of literature, and attends a monthly book club and weekly woman's Bible study. Dr. Ward is especially fond of dogs.
 Melissa Hopkins, Au.D. Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Melissa Hopkins was also one of the first to receive her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) degree from Central Michigan University . She graduated in May 1998 with Dr. Ward. She completed her doctoral residency in a private practice outside of Baltimore, Maryland.
In addition to hearing aid work, Dr. Hopkins has extensive experience in hospital settings. She has participated in infant hearing screening programs, balance testing and auditory brainstem response testing (testing the pathway from the ear to the brain with electrodes). In addition to the above, she was a visiting doctor to area senior living communities. Dr. Hopkins is a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and American Dispensing Audiologists (ADA). She is also a member of the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA).
Dr. Hopkins is originally from Ludington, Michigan. Her mother still resides in Ludington, while her father lives in Hesperia, Michigan. Her one and only sister, Marcie, lives in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. After living in Maryland for 8 years, Dr. Hopkins relocated to metro-Detroit to be closer to her family. She resides in Royal Oak with her two dogs, Callie and Toby. She has been an integral part of Premium Hearing Solutions since September 2005.
 Margaret Moss Hearing Care Coordinator
Margaret Moss joined our PHS staff in November 2001. She has a Journalism and Family/Consumer Resources Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University. Before joining our family, she worked as a copy editing/conference coordinator for an academic journal. However, the job she loves best is greeting and getting to know her PHS patients!
Margaret and her husband Ron live in Royal Oak and have two grown children. Their daughter, Catherine, lives in Midland, Michigan, and has blessed them with four wonderful grandchildren. Their son Brian, and his lovely wife, live in Dallas, Texas, where they both enjoy teaching. Margaret and Ron are active at Highland Park Baptist Church, where Ron sings in the choir and is also involved in a men's weekly Bible study. Margaret has been active in women's ministries and is part of a monthly prayer group. She is also an avid reader and enjoys knitting and spending quality time with their grandchildren.
 Tim "Toolman" Kennedy Audiology Assistant Tim Kennedy, one of our patients, joined our staff in June 2006. Tim has an extensive background in electronics, music and sound engineering. Since he has a hearing loss, severe tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and wears hearing aids, he can definitely understand your point of view! Tim is a CAOHC certified occupational hearing technician and is training with Dr. Ward and Dr. Hopkins to achieve a technician certificate in audiology diagnostics and amplification through Nova Southeastern University. He is becoming well versed in hearing aid technolgoy and assistive listening devices, such as infra-red loop systems for television. In adddition, he serves as one of our front office team. We are lucky to have him!
 Elizabeth Kobylak Audiology Assistant Liz joined our family in September 2007, however she is not new to hearing problems and hearing technology. She has an extensive background in hearing issues since she has had hearing loss for almost 30 years. In January 2007, Liz received a cochlear implant, and is doing exceptionally well! She can now hold face-to-face conversation normally! Because of her extensive personal knowledge of the difficulites of hearing loss, both emotionally and practically, she will be leading our new rehabilation/counseling classes.
Astra Jean Billing Specialist Astra Jean joined the PHS family in July 2003. She is a long time resident of Clawson.
