One week ago, I was fitted and have been using a pair of hearing aids. Dr. Ward has greatly improved the quality of my life, beyond expenctations. I hear sounds that I do not remember hearing: I had totally forgot these sounds existed. Also, no longer does the TV folume have to be so loud that it is uncomfortable to others. Now when listening to music, I can hear all of the music. Best of all, because of Dr. Ward, I can carry on a conversation without constantly asking the other person to repeat what was said. That was embarrassing to me and annoying to others. Dr. Ward made sure that I would obtain the maximum benefit from my hearing aids at the least possible cost to me. She did not try to sell me more than I needed. However, she did keep in mind that the hearing aids can be adjusted to compensate for my on going hearing loss. Therefore, these hearing aids will not need replacing for many years. This saves money.

It took me 5 years to admit my hearing loss - the loss my family brought to my attention many more times than I would like to mention. My fiancee very gently convinced me to get help. My family told me not to come home without hearing aids or the door would be locked! You have made my day a great deal better! When I got my Siemens in-the-canal hearing aids from another office, I did not get alot of help. Luckily, I found you. With re-programming and re-building at Siemens, I now have much improved hearing and am not saying "what" most of the time. In a way, you caused yourself a problem. A now wear them sun up to sun down, using more of your batteries from the battery club. Good for me!

I wanted to write and thank you for truly giving me my life back. After more than 15 years of progressive hearing loss, including 5 years with hearing aids that did little to alleviate the problem, my new hearing aids have enabled me to get back involved with the people and activities I love. So many simple things that people take for granted, from driving to taking part in a backyard conversation, are part of my life again. I had become fearful of driving because I couldn't hear oncoming sirens. I had shied away from family get-togethers and other social outings because I couldn't take part. During each of my visits, Dr. Jeanne and staff have given me their undivided attention and answered all questions, without hesitation. Everything you told me about my new hearing aids was true. Of course, I trust you, but I wasn't really convinced until I tried them myself. These hearing aids slip into my ears easily and do not show at all. They are so comfortable that I forget I am wearing them.
